There are TWO specific goals that we have in this class!
GOAL ONE:
Solve the problem the easiest way possible, this requires EFFORT and THINKING!
GOAL TWO:
Make sure we understand “how”, “why”, and “when” to use all the Math we will learn this year!
These TWO goals will always be the purpose for this class and discussed regularity!!!

Quizzes (2 per Semester) 30%
On-Line Assessments / Homework 30%
Participation / Organization 10%

Required Supplies
Supplies you need to bring EVERY CLASS:
1. Math Binder (3 ring binder if possible)
a. I will print the in-class handouts with holes for a 3 ring binder
b. You will be GRADED on the organization of your Math binder
2. Pencils
3. Ruler
4. Eraser
5. Scissors
6. Calculator
Supplies you need to have but I will announce / warn you / remind you when you have to bring them to class:
7. Protractor
8. Compass
If you come to class without these supplies (or your worksheets) you will be given a STRIKE. You need these supplies in order to complete your work in class!

Your HOMEWORK will be a combination of the following types of assignments:
On-Line Assessments ***MAIN ASSIGNMENT***
a. This will help you review and learn the main topics talked about in our class.
b. You will need to achieve a specific % grade or higher to pass the On-Line Assessments.
c. The minimum % will be listed in the description of each assessment.
d. You can take the On-Line Assessments as many times as you need to pass. YOU CAN DO IT!
Directions for taking On-Line Assessments:
(1) You will receive and use the same USER NAME and PASSWORD for EVERY assignment
